Arriving by Economical Highway Coach

These will deliver you to the Akakura Onsen village information centre.

From the information centre, walk north into the village about 400 meters to the Star Hotel at the T junction.

Turn left and you will find Myoko Ski Lodge a further 400 meters up the street on your left (50 meters before the public onsen).  If you let us know your arrival time beforehand, we'll try to be at the bus stop to pick you up.

Arriving by train

Give us a heads up of your likely arrival time at Myoko Station before you leave Tokyo and then once you've arrived in Nagano and have your ticket for the final leg to Myoko, if you can, message us again to confirm your actual arrival time at Myoko Kogen Station and if things aren't too hectic we will try to be there to pick you up. If that doesn't work out, just jump in a taxi right outside the station exit. It's only a 10 minute (2,500yen approx) taxi ride to Myoko Ski Lodge from Myoko Kogen Train Station.

We enjoy picking up guests from our local Myoko Kogen station and love to see the excitement on your faces.

However, please keep in mind, the lodge is in a heavy snowfall zone so this is not always practical, and it is best for all guests that new arrivals be prepared to get to the lodge by local taxi from the train station, thereby allowing lodge resources to be directed toward helping guests get the most out of their stay and keeping the lodge from complete burial by a weekly snowfall average of more than a metre and up to two metres plus of snow per week in peak season.

If you have any problems, try messaging us on the free WIFI in the train station waiting room or from the new Tourist Info Centre next door.
